Allied Telesyn's AT-2450FT adapter cards connect high performance computers with a PCI architecture to Ethernet over fiber networks. The PCI Bus Master architecture minimizes CPU utilization, freeing your computer's power for the most memory-intensive applications. These high performance adapters, utilize the 32-bit PCI bus architecture which transfers data at speeds up to 33Mhz and has data throughput rates as high as 132Mbytes/second, up to 16 times faster than the traditional ISA bus. Both high-speed systems and applications requiring transfer of multimedia and video data will benefit from this solution. Full-Duplex operation enables the AT-2450 to transmit and receive data simultaneously.

The AT-2450 Series PCI adapter cards are auto-configurable, dramatically reducing installation time. Allied Telesyn gives you the industry's only "On-Line-Help" feature in addition to diagnostic software and four visible LEDs to assist in installation and troubleshooting. The cards are available with a RJ45/UTP connector for copper and a fiber connector; ST (twist-on) connector, or the new SC (push-on) connector. The media port automatically senses which media is active when the network cable connector is attached, eliminating software set-up programs.

Compatibility

The AT-2450 is fully compatible with PCI v2.1, IEEE 802.3 and ISO/IEC 8802-3 specifications. A full set of certified network drivers is included for the most popular operating environments in the industry.
